Nn

This week's letter is Nn.  We made Nose and Glasses disguises.  Mrs Blithe didn't recognize us with our disguises on!

'Rr' is for ...

We created rainbows.  We worked hard to ensure we had the colours in the correct order, then we used cotton balls to make fluffy clouds.

Rainbow Fish

We enjoyed The Rainbow Fish story.  Our own rainbow fish are looking spectacular. They will be stuffed with shredded recycled paper and stapled together.  We think they will look fabulous swimming along our wall!

Our New Game

Mrs Blithe bought a new game to test our hand-eye coordination.  We have to move the wand from one end to the other, without touching the metal.  If the metal is touched, it makes a loud noise  Some of us didn't like the noise!

K is for ...

We never thought we would say this, but today we were very happy that it was windy!  We designed, made and tested our kites to celebrate this week's letter 'Kk'.  We also had a special guest - Mr Marriott, who used to be Principal here at Parkland School.  Mr Marriott brought some special guests, students from Japan.

Using Scales

Today we practiced our weighing skills.  We found two objects, weighed them in our hands to estimate which was heaviest, then checked using the scales.

Today's Book Reviewers

Maia told us about her favourite book, We're Going On A Bear Hunt.  She explained that it is her favourite book because she likes the words in it.

MacKenzie shared Spooky House with us.  It is her favourite book because it is all about Halloween, and she loves Halloween!

Great job girls!

Little Garden

An exciting package arrived yesterday - our Little Garden kit.  We are looking forward to learning all about pollination.

Father's Day

Last Friday we made Father's Day cards to give to our Dads.  Emily's Dad loved his.  MacKenzie's Nana is going to post her card all the way to Australia!

'Bb' is for ... butterfly

We made butterflies and decorated them with the letter 'b'.  Then we had fun testing them to see if they could fly!  Thanks to Mrs Hildred for organising our templates and other bits and pieces.
